It is our hope that we honor God with Restoration Rides Ministry. We are told that in humility, we should consider others better than ourselves (Philippians 2:3). Restoration Rides Ministry was founded on a desire to Love God and Love others (Mathew 22:37-39).
The fundamental purpose of Restoration Rides Ministry is to help financially distressed families with safe and reliable transportation. Our ministry is limited to the greater Phoenix, AZ area. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, we will rely on donations to pay for the repair and parts necessary to meet minimum safety and legal requirements. We will take in donated cars that we will restore to street worthy, provide them to those we serve that need transportation, or sell them to raise additional funds. All donations are tax deductible according to IRS guidelines.
People we serve must be financially distressed with nowhere to go for help. They must be referred to Restoration Rides Ministry by a church, a social or government organization. Once we receive a client’s complete application, we will review it, contacting the referral source for verification. If the client’s request is approved, they will be notified to make arrangements for the repair. The repair may be completed at the client’s home or at an auto repair shop. The type of repairs could include, but not limited to: battery replacement, tires, air conditioning, heating and cooling, brakes, and basic car maintenance.
As God blesses our ministry, we will expand the list of our auto repair partners who share our vision, while developing a network of industry advisers, leaders and volunteers.
Our long term vision is to own or lease an auto repair shop. This would allow us to use volunteers to do repairs and maintenance on site, while stretching our donated dollars. It is also our desire to offer youths-at-risk a chance to volunteer or work at our facility to help develop auto and life skills.
We will not take any salary from the ministry. All donations and proceeds from cars sold will be used for operating expenses, and to purchase parts and services for those we serve.
